As you may be aware, BlueFit has assumed management of Laverton Swim & Fitness Centre. We can’t wait to meet our members & patrons and look forward to creating a thriving community!
With the change in management there are a few important updates to take note of that may affect you directly.
Visit Pass Holders
Your visit pass has been transferred across to BlueFit with the remaining visits. These visit passes have had a 12 month expiry added in and must be used by 2nd January 2025. A new visit pass card will be issued to you when you next attend the facility.
All new visit passes purchased through BlueFit will have a 12-month expiry from the date of purchase.
Members
Memberships have been transferred across to BlueFit with their existing contract price. Existing direct debit members will move from monthly to a fortnightly debit with the first fortnightly period beginning January 26th. A new membership card will be issued to you when you next attend the facility.
Learn to Swim
Swimming lessons commence on Tuesday 30th January. All Term 4 bookings have been transferred into the new BlueFit swimming program. The BlueFit Swimming program is a perpetual swimming program which means we run throughout the year and do not take breaks for school holidays. With this change, we will move to a more affordable fortnightly debit which allows you to cancel out at any time.
If you have paid upfront for your Term 1 lessons already, a credit has been applied to your account. Those with outstanding fees may pay the upcoming term fees before commencement however from 1st March all customers will be required to move to a fortnightly direct debit.
We will provide further communication to our learn-to-swim customers as we draw closer to the start date.
Upcoming Works
There are some fairly significant works required at the facility. We anticipate some remedial works taking place in March. During this time the facility may be closed for an extended period, however, patrons will be able to access BayFit Leisure Centre during this closure period. We will provide more details on the works in the coming weeks.
